It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Alexander (Alex) Bell. Alex is survived by his wife of 45 years Karen; his children Michael (Laura) & his daughter Shayleen McNabb & his son Colby, Terry (Christine) Dell & their children Garrett & Jordan of Edmonton, AB, Jodi (nee Dell) (Blaine) Stork & their children Ryan (Brooke) & their children Caydin & Makaya of Medicine Hat, AB, Alicia Stork (Justin Seaborg) & their son Cashton of Lafayette, LA, USA and Madison Stork of Prince Albert; his sister Edna Bjornson of Moose Jaw; brother-in-law Scotty Young; nephews Ron Lowe, Rick Bjornson and family; nieces Linda (Chuck) Bromwell and Alexis (Tony) Schroeder & their children; his wife's family, his mother-in-law Eleanor Grayson of Moose Jaw; sisters-in-law Faye Angus (Ed Windsor) of Kamloops, BC, Judy Foord of Moose Jaw, SK, Twyla (Ed) Rail of Vancouver, BC and Debbie McKinnon of Moose Jaw, SK. Alex was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Lydia Bell; sisters Win and Joy and brother-in-law Lou Bjornson. Alex was born in Moose Jaw, SK on September 17, 1937 to Alexander and Lydia Bell. He took all his schooling in Moose Jaw. Alex worked in various jobs when he was younger traveling all over Western Canada. Moose Jaw brought him home where he met and married Karen. Alex went back to school when he was 33 for upgrading and took a 1 year Steam Engineering Course in Weyburn where he was hired right from school to start work with the Prince Albert Pulp and Paper in June 1970 and he remained there until retirement. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Grays Funeral Chapel, 575 - 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Victoria Hospital Foundation, 1200- 24th Street West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 5T4.
