Douglas Wortman Douglas Wortman, 78, of Moncton passed away at the Q.E. II Health Centre Halifax, NS on Wednesday, February 25, 2004. Born in Moncton, son of the late G. Otto Wortman and Lillian (Chambers) Wortman. Doug was a Veteran of World War II having served with the Royal Canadian Navy. He retired from CN Equipment after 30 years, former volunteer with the Moncton Fire Department with 29 years service as Captain of #4 Company, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6 and C.N.R. War Vets. Doug will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary E. (Douglass) Wortman; daughters, C. Elizabeth Wortman, Vancouver, BC, Jane Williamson, Fredericton; grandchildren, Sarah Jane, Thomas; sister, Geraldine Taylor (Norman), Moncton; brother, Donald Wortman, ON; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Florence; brothers, Stanley, Robert, James and Arnold. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd, Moncton (858-1995) Wednesday March 3, 7 to 9. Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6 will hold a memorial service Wednesday at 7:00 at the funeral home. In keeping with Doug's wishes there will be no funeral service. Interment in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Stanley, NB. In Doug's memory donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Fund or memorial of donor's choice would be appreciated. www.fergusonknowlesfh.com
