Orland (Bud) Mowat OTTAWA, ON - The death of Orland Mowat, 65, of Ottawa, formerly of Minto, occurred February 20, 2004 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Born in Minto, he was the son of the late Donald and Ruth (Rosengren) Mowat. Orland served in the Canadian Armed Forces and retired as a Commissionaire at the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. He is survived by brothers, Donald (Evelyn), Cumberland Bay; Dale (Ursula), Burton; William (Betty), Minto; John (Marilyn), Moncton; Harvie (Mary Lou), Fredericton; sisters, Faye Belleville, Minto; Loy (George), MacDonald, Fredericton; Nancy (Clarence) Goodine; Perth Andover and Betty (Kurt) Schatz; Saint John; a sister-in-law, Genevieve, Toronto; a special friend, Thelma; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Max and David. Funeral will be held March 6, 2004, 4 pm at the Minto Funeral Home.
