Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, Caroline Allen, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents, George and Esther (Squires); sister, Harriett Della Maddalena; brother, Edward Allen; nephew, Billy Allen. Left with fond and loving memories, special partner Les Field and his two sons: Rodney and Rick; brothers: Bill (Renee) and their children, Tracey Prendergast (Greg), Brent (Erin) and James (Chantal), Hector (Sophie) and their children, Scott Allen and Stacey Roberts (Brad); brother-in-law, Bruno Della Maddalena and his children: Gino and Carla Della Maddalena; her cherished great-nieces and nephews; also remembered by the extended Field family; Phil (Frances), Mildred Skanes (Charlie, deceased), Eric (Helen) and Laura Carter (Gus); she will be sadly missed by her feline companions; also a large number of relatives and special friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday. Funeral service on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Bauline Line, Portugal Cove.
