Lydia Adelia Gilbert 1917 - 2004 Lydia Gilbert, 87, formerly of Lower Coverdale, passed away at her Buckingham Place residence in Riverview, on Sunday, March 28th, 2004. Born in Turtle Creek, on February 2, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Beverly and Dora (Berry) Ricker. Lydia loved bowling , enjoyed knitting, spending time with her family, and especially her great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Arlene Pond (John) of Riverview; grandchildren, Michael Pond ( Jeanne) of Riverview, Susan Snyder (Gregg) of Timmins ON; great grandchildren, Kayla, Rebecca, Katie, Snyder of Timmins, Ken and Melissa Pond of Riverview; sister- in- law Audrey Ricker of Parkindale, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Hilda Fullerton, and Freda Crossman, brothers, Otis, Herman, Naamon, and Russell Ricker. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, with visitation on Tuesday, March 30th, from 7 to 9PM. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 31 at 1PM in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, a reception for Lydia's family and friends will follow in the Garden View Family Reception room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Highfield Baptist Church.
