Augusta Martinez Augusta Martinez, 79, wife of the late Tony Martinez, of Dieppe, passed away Monday March 29, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born September 22, 1924 in SaintLouis, she was the daughter of the late Auguste Babineau, and the late Dorca Gallant. She was employed as a bookkeeper in California prior to her retirement. She is survived by four sisters, Lauréanne Caron, and Diane Mersereau (Pat) of Moncton, Ange-Marie DesRoches of St-Louis, Jacqueline Babineau of Dieppe; three brothers, Raymond (Vanilda) of St-Louis, Omer (Jeanne), and Normand Babineau of Moncton, many nieces, and nephews. Three sisters, Donalda Vautour, Agathe Poirier, Rachel Couture, and a brother Flavien predeceased her. The family will receive relatives, and friends at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday April 1, 2004 at Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe.
