Mr. Jeffery J. (Knucker) Savoy 1931-2004 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Jeffery Joseph (Knucker) Savoy, husband of Mary Savoy, of John Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday evening, April 14, 2004, at the age of 72. Born in Loggieville, on October 26, 1931, he was the son of Bella Savoy. He was the owner of J.J. Savoy Plumbing & Heating, in Miramichi and a former employee of the Dept. of National Defense at the former CFB Chatham. He was a 4th Degree member of the Bishop Hill Assembly #1219, Knights of Columbus, Miramichi. He was a member of St. Michaels Parish and attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Daley; two daughters, Linda McKinley (Darrell), of Chelmsford and Katherine Levine (Rennie) of Moncton; two sons, Jeffery Savoy Jr. (Cindy), of Kitchener, Ont., and Ronald Savoy (Louise), of Moncton; six grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Bella Savoy; two uncles, Albert Poulin and Fred Savoy; two brothers-in-law, Gus Campbell (Dolores) and Kenneth Daley (Patricia). Visiting will be from Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St. on Friday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Saturday, April 17, 2004, at 10 am, with Father John Fraser officiating. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, later in the spring. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon, at 3 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extra Mural Nursing Program or the N.B. Lung Assoc., would be appreciated by the family.
