Rev. C. Dawson MacDonald Rev. C. Dawson MacDonald, 90, of Moncton and formerly of Sydney, NS passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, April 21, 2004. Born in Sydney Mines, NS, son of the late Colla and Anniebelle (MacDonald) MacDonald. Rev. Mr. MacDonald was a retired United Church Clergymen with over 35 years service, he was ordained at PineHill Divinity College (Atlantic School of Theology) Halifax in 1942. He served in Pastorates in Bermuda, Verdun, PQ, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. He was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Sydney, NS and attended Humphrey Memorial Church in Moncton. Dawson will be sadly missed by his wife of over 56 years, Margaret (MacLeod) MacDonald; daughters, Colleen McLaren, Ajax, ON; Sheila Snider, Moncton; grandchildren, Marna Beaver (Tim), Meaghan, Meredith, Danny; great grandchildren, Jessica, Gene and Matthew; sister, Patricia Mosley, Glace Bay, NS; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother, John, sisters, Helen and Jean. Visitation at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Sydney, NS (902-539-0500) Friday 7-9. Funeral service at St. Andrews United Church, Sydney, NS, Saturday, April 24, 2004, 11am. Reception following the service. Interment, Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney, NS.
