Marjorie Louise McPherson, 58 of Sunny Brae, passed away Tuesday, February 24th, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Campbell) Stevenson.
Marjorie lived in Linacy and later moved to Huntsville, Ontario. She moved home to Sunny Brae six years ago. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, gardening as well as rug hooking, and has left a legacy of baby quilts for her grandchildren. Marjorie was truly the heart of her family, and she dedicated her life to raising her children. With her undenying love she has nourished and provided for them as they have grown, and for this they are eternally grateful. She will forever be remembered fondly, and will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ewan, Sunny Brae; children: Alec McPherson, Halifax; Isla (Garrett) Deane and their daughter, Taleigh Dean, Huntsville, ON; Katie (Jordan) Dodds, Milton, ON; son; Colin McPherson, Toronto; sister, Ruth (Neil) Kenney, Springville; brothers, David (Maureen) Stevenson; Pleasantvale, NB; Andrew (Iris) Stevenson, St. John, NB.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. today in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday from Bridgeville United Church with Heather Landry officiating. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society or a local charity of one’s choice.
