Jean R. Currie 1910 - 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of our beloved mother, Jean R. Currie on April 30, 2004. Born May 16, 1910 in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Jane R. (Lewis) Kinnie. A longtime resident of LeFurgey Ave. as well as Church Court and was presently residing at Briarlea Residence. She was the oldest member of Parkside Baptist Church and the Dorcas Missionary Group. Jean was known for her kindness and her sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her children; Donald (Elizabeth) Currie of Hillsborough and Alma (Jack) Steeves of Moncton; five grandchildren, Dianne (Brad) Raven, Allan (Katrina) and Wallace Currie, Lori and Kris Steeves; also by five great grandchildren; nieces, Jean Murray and Myrna Melvin; nephews, Bruce Bell, Jack Curry and Gordon Curry. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Currie in 1990; infant son, Kenneth; brothers, Judson, Wentworth, Charles and Frank Kinnie; sisters, Martha Bell, Clara Bell and Mary Kinnie. Visitation is at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Lutz Street, Moncton on Monday, May 3, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Chuck Murray officiating. Interment will be in Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough. Donations in Jean's memory made to the Charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
