Robert J. A. Leger 1929 - 2004 SHEDIAC, NB - Mr. Robert J. A. Leger, 75, of Caissie Ave., Shediac passed away after a short illness on Monday, May 3, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Shediac, February 25, 1929, he was the son of the late Clarence and Anida (Melanson) Leger. He was a retired Sergeant with the Canadian Armed Forces having served for 23 years. He served in the Korean War, and Peacekeeping duties with the United Nations. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #33, Shediac. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Doiron) Leger; five sisters, Claire Bernaquez (late Louis) and Rita LeBlanc (Bertin) all of Shediac, Flora Laing (late George) of Winnipeg, Doris Martin (late Ronald) of Collingwood, ON., Lillianne Leger of Verdun, QC.; two brothers, Alyre (Simone) of Grand-Barachois, Arcade (Madonna) of St. John's, NL; three sisters-in-law, Amanda Leger, Thérèse Leger and Barbara Leger, all of Shediac; two brothers-in-law, Maurice Doiron (Gisèle) and Yvon Doiron (Lorilee), all of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Léonide, Alderice, Raymond and by a sister, Hélène. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure at 10:20 a.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
