Mona Marie Smith The death of Mona Marie Smith, widow of Charles Llewellyn Smith of South Nelson, NB occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 16, 2004 at the age of 86. Born in Cassilis, NB, Mona was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Jessie (Blackmore) Johnston. She is survived by three daughters, Jessie (Loran McLean) of Saint John, NB, Gale (Chuck McLeod) of Brighton, ON and Sandra (Walter Wells) of Piccadilly, NB; and one son Llewellyn (Sylvia) of Miramichi, NB; and one sister-in-law, Golda Smith of Perth Andover, NB; one step daughter, Gilda Smith of Newcastle, NB; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one brother, Walter and one stepson, Aden. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 2 pm from St. James United Church, South Nelson, NB with Rev. Ross Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
