Oscar Surette 1927 - 2004 COCAGNE, NB - Oscar Surette of Chemin Surette, Cocagne, N.B. passed away at Dr. Georges-L. Dumont on May 18, 2004 after a brief illness at the age of 76. Born on October 24,1927 in Cocagne, Oscar was the son of the late Albert and Alvina (Légére) Surette. Mr. Surette was a sawmill worker at Eric Goguen Sawmill until his retirement. He attended St.-Pierre de Cocagne Roman Catholic Church. Oscar is survived by one brother, Arthur Surette (Cécile), Cocagne with whom he resided; 13 great grand- children; three nephews, Raymond, Philippe, André; four nieces, Fernande, Annette, Charline and Carole; he was predeceased by one adopted sister, Dorice. Resting at St.-Pierre de Cocagne slumber room. Visitation will be Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held at St.-Pierre de Cocagne Roman Catholic Church, Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 3pm. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Requested by the family, donations to Parish Funds for maintenance for the Church would be appreciated.
