Robert King Levangie of Fredericton, NB occurred a Tuesday
Robert King Levangie FREDERICTON, NB - The death of Robert King Levangie of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, May 18, 2004. Born in Havre Boucher, Antigonish, NS, he was the son of the late J.J. and Mabel (King) Levangie, and the husband of Yvonne O'Neill Levangie. Bob took Pre- College courses in Accounting while he was living in Halifax and later he graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. After his graduation he went to work at the CN Headquarters in Management, and during this time was president of the Lake Solar Association in Lachute, Quebec. He was also a member of the Barber Shoppers and the Quartet "The Cumbertones" and was part of the guys in "Voices of Argentueil" in Quebec. After he retired, he moved to New Maryland where he was a member on the Committee on Transportation. Bob also enjoyed bowling on the men's league at the Kingswood Bowling lanes. But Bob's greatest passion was woodworking and many of his pieces are left to be treasured for many years to come. Survived by his loving wife, Yvonne; three sisters; Eleanor Comeau Mosher (Glenn) and Kathleen Boudreau (Don) all of Halifax, NS and Daisy Levangie of Montreal, PQ; several nieces, nephew, and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Altena and Lorraine; four brothers, Garfield, Samuel, Sydney and Adrian. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, May 20, 2004 from 7 to 9 pm and Friday, May 21, from 7 to 9 pm at St. Paul's Church in Havre Boucher, Antigonish, NS. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 10:30 AM. Father MacLellan as celebrant. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
