Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a short illness on Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Richard Beresford, age 86 years. Leaving to mourn his sisters Rita O'Rielly (Gregory), Mary Ann Knox (Patrick), Nell Hogan (William), and Marguerite Lee (Patrick), as well as a whole host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Richard is predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Genevieve, Christina and Angus Beresford, who raised him, his brother Thomas and sisters Kathleen Croke (Patrick), Ann Croke (Michael J), Margaret and Ellen. Resting at St Gabriel’s Church at St. Brendan’s on Thursday, February 26 and Friday, February 27. Funeral service will be held at St. Gabriel’s Church on Saturday February 28 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow service. Donations in Richard’s memory may be made to St. Gabriel’s Parish.
