Mrs. Una M. McDonald 1936-2004 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Una Marie McDonald, wife of John McDonald, of William Cassidy Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, June 10, 2004, at the age of 67. Born in Yarmouth, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Harris and Loretta (Clements) Ryan. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Zellers Ltd.; a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a member of the U.C.W., of St. Andrews United Church; a former member of the Earl of Chatham Chapter, I.O.D.E.; a member of Prince Charles Chapter #27, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, John McDonald; one daughter, Judy Carpenter (Bruce), of Kingston, N.S.; three sons, Wayne Pitman (Brenda), of Eastern Passage, N.S., Neil Pitman (Dawn), of Oromocto, and Gary Pitman (Gloria), of Eastern Passage, N.S.; one step daughter, Sheila Fladeby (Oivind), of Norway; one step son, Reinhardt McDonald (Kjersti), of Norway; one sister, Myrtle (Tootsie) Emin (Fred), of Yarmouth, N.S.; four brothers, Terry Ryan (Sharon), of Yarmouth, N.S., Hubert Ryan (Pauline), of Kingston, N.S., Gerald Ryan (Carol), of Bowanville, Ont., and Bruce Ryan (Sharon), of Pettawawa, Ont.; nine grandchildren, Robin, Donna, Christopher, Duane, Matthew, Christine, Ryan, Kimberley, Brian; three great grandchildren, Rowan, Stephanie and Savannah. Visiting will be held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Friday evening, from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Andrews United Church, on Sunday evening, at 7 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Riverside Cemetery Fund, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
