Virginia Gertrude Nimmo 1951 - 2004 Virginia Gertrude Nimmo, 52, of Moncton passed away suddenly on June 11, 2004 at her home. Virginia was born in Riverside, Albert Co., NB, on July 29, 1951 the daughter of Graydon Martin and Maisie (McKinley) Martin. She attended the Holy Family Catholic Church. Virginia was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at the Salvation Army - Lakeview Manor for 16 years. She was a very loving person who dedicated herself to caring for others. She loved to read and also enjoyed knitting. The most important thing to her was her family, she was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother and sister. She cherished all the times spent with her family and friends and especially treasured times spent with her two grandaughters. She was known for her laugh and her love of life and most of all for her huge heart always willing to help when needed. She was a very special person who will never be forgotten and will live on in the hearts of her family forever. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Maisie Martin of Cannon Station; her father, Graydon Martin (Myra) of Alma; her husband, Larry Nimmo; her two daughters, Patricia Nimmo (Shawn Poirier) of Edmonton, Alberta, Angela Wilson (Mike) of Dieppe; her son. James Nimmo (Melanie Thibodeau) of Moncton; her two precious grandaughters, Chelsea and Ashley; two sisters, Laverne Dall (Ronald) of Maine, Janet Moore (Mike) of California; two brothers, Timothy Martin (Louise) of Moncton, Mark Martin (Jackie) of Cornwall, Ontario. She will also be sadly missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and by her many co-workers and friends of Lakeview Manor. Virginia was predeceased by an infant brother, Paul. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Monday evening from 7 to 9pm. Parish Prayers and sharing memories of Virginia will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday evening at 7:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in RiversideAlbert on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 11am with Father Jeff Doucette Officiating. Interment will be held in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Riverside-Albert Recreation Center for further fellowship, sharing of memories and refreshments. Donations to the Lakeview Manor or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
