Robert Connors 1921 - 2004 Robert Connors, of Pine Glen, NB, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the age of 82. Born in Bass River, he was the son of the late Otto and Julia (Elward) Connors. He was a veteran of WW II, serving overseas with the Royal Canadian Army for five years and served in the Korean War with the R.C.R. for four years. Retired from the Federal Dept. of Transport at the Moncton Airport, after 23 years. He attended The Anglican Church and was a member of the Moncton Legion #6, the Riverview Armed Forces Veterans Association., the Korean War Veterans Association and the R.C.R. Association. He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Doucette) Connors; three daughters, Katherine Freeman (David) of Mississaga, ON, Diane Crossman of Pine Glen, Debbie Cohen of Moncton; two sons; Michael Connors (Phyllis) of Pine Glen, and Robert McAllister (Evie) of ON; step-children, Bernice Cormier (Lynn) of Upper Coverdale, Jeannette Baiani (Don) of Dieppe, Gerald Cormier of Moncton and Linda Cormier of Riverview; four sisters, Florence Connors of Rothsay, Maxine Manning (Arthur) of Bass River, Janet Warman of Bass River and Faye MacPherson (Sonny) of Barrie, ON, brother; Ronald "Billy" Connors of Bass River; 16 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Colpitts; brothers, Owen and Donald and a sister Mona. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion #6, the Riverview Armed Forces Veterans and the Korean War Veterans will be having a joint Memorial Service on Wednesday at 6:45 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Albert Snelgrove officiating. Interment will be in St. Pauls Anglican Church Cemetery, Brown's Yard, NB. Donations in memory of Robert to the memorial of your choice would be appreciated by his family.
