Irene P. Wortman Irene P. Wortman, 79, of the K. E. Spencer Home, Moncton and formerly Main St., Salisbury passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 17, 2004. Born at Wheaton Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Ida (Cochrane) Killam and step daughter of the late Rosie Killam. She was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church, a former Sunday School Teacher, former member of the ladies auxiliary of the Spencer Home and former volunteer for the Salisbury St. John Ambulance. Survived by daughters, Faye Beckwith (Roger) of Second North River, Lois Jonah (Byron) of Edmonton; sons, Lawrence (Carol), Fred (Judy) of Salisbury and Peter (Cheryl) Salisbury West; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Ida Eagles, Steeves Mountain, Augusta Carson, Moncton and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Frank; great grandson, Noah Jonah; three sisters, and five brothers. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with private family visitation Saturday 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 21 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton. If so desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Pine Hill Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
