Douglas Frees HAVELOCK, NB - Douglas Frees of Havelock, passed away suddenly at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, June 20, 2004. He was born in Shannonvale, Restigouche County, on June 21, 1919. He and his wife operated a restaurant and motel at Young's Cove Road for 20 years prior to retiring to Havelock in 1980. Douglas is survived by two daughters, Trallawny Tingley (Gerald) of Havelock and Cheryl O'Donnell-Blackmore (Blair) of Miramichi; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Thorne (Brent) of Kinnear Settlement, Deidra (Deedee) Tingley of Havelock, Carl O'Donnell (Melanie) of Bristol, Clarence O'Donnell of BC, Curby O'Donnell (Krisanne) of Miramichi, Carol Nash (Howard) of Miramichi, Kate Craik (Mark) of Saint John; five great grandchildren, Jonathan, Ashley, Benjamin, Katelyn, Cameron and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla on September 18, 2003. There will be no visitation. The body has been forwarded for cremation. A memorial service will be held at the Havelock Baptist Church on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Reverend David Hatt officiating. A private family committal service will be held at the Kinnear Settlement Cemetery following the Memorial Service. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
