Alberta Ibbitson SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Alberta Ibbitson, age 89, widow of Dovey Ibbitson, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 5, 2004. Born in Midgic, she was a daughter of the late John and Luella (Estabrooks) Beal. She was a member of the Midgic Baptist Church. Alberta will be sadly missed by her seven children, Ron (Donna), Austin (Ghayle) and Joyce (Don) Dauvin, all of Sackville, Eric (Joan), New Glasgow, Dan (Cheryl), Winnipeg, MB, Sherry (Larry) Smith and Darren (Sandi), both of Amherst; 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Earl, Inga White, Cynthia Richards, Raymond, Hyle, Harry, Abner, Lloyd, John, Daphne Day and Harold. She was predeceased by her husband, Dovey, in 1976 and by sons, Perley and Bob; a daughter, Sheila; and by brothers, Hollis, Donald and Leaman. The remains have been forwarded for cremation. Alberta's family will receive friends at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville (3641300) on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 9, 2004 at 11 am, Pastor Hal Lowther officiating. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin.
