Mr. Thomas G. Lanteigne
Mr. Thomas G. Lanteigne 1945 - 2004 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Thomas Gerald Lanteigne, of Isiah Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday, July 9, 2004, at the age of 58. Born in Chatham, he was the son of Eleanor P. (Redmond) and the late Percy J. Lanteigne. He was a former teacher by profession and taught in schools in both the Loggieville and Chatham area. A celebrated softball player, he was selected 2nd Base Canadian Allstar and inducted into the NB Softball Hall of Fame, both individually and as a member of the Loggieville Bisons Senior Softball Team. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous; an accomplished public speaker. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Lanteigne, of Miramichi; his long time companion and friend, Janet Savage; two sisters, Margie Carscadden (Gary), of Miramichi and Theresa Richards (Bill), of London, Ont.; four brothers, Joe Lanteigne (Irene), of Miramichi, Gerald Lanteigne (Fran), of Moncton, Bobby Lanteigne (Marg), of London, Ont., and John Lanteigne, of Toronto, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Percy J. Lanteigne. Visitation will be held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Sunday evening, from 7-9 pm and Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in St. Andrews Roman Catholic Cemetery, Miramichi. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday afternoon, at 3 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
