Norval "Bud" Crawford
Norval "Bud" Crawford 1921 - 2004 At the Veteran's Health Care Center on Saturday, July 17, 2004, Norval Arnold Crawford, husband of Jean (Gulliver) Crawford of Moncton. Born in Murray Corner, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ruth (Briggs) Crawford. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch #6. He was a long time employee of the Canadian National Railway, retiring in 1981 as a Supervisor. Bud was an avid curler and member of the Moncton Curlers Association. He was also a member of the CN Pensioners Association, St John the Baptist Anglican Church, NB Fishe and Game Association and the IOOF. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and love wood working in his shop and gardening. Surviving in addition to his wife, Jean; daughters, Janice (Carl ) McKeney of Caledonia, ON, Joan (Bob) Caldwell of Sackville, Norma (Pat) Robichaud of Moncton; and a son, Brent (Susan) of Whitby, ON; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Rosella Crawford of Monton. He was predeceased by one brother, Stanley Crawford. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Tribute to a Veteran Service at the funeral home 10:45 am Thursday. A memorial service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 am Thursday July 22, 2004. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Following the service a reception will be held in the Fair Haven Funeral Home reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
