Gladys K. Mabey

Gladys K. Mabey 1910 - 2004 Gladys K. Mabey, of Ladeview Manor and formerly of Wendell St., Riverview, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at the age of 94. Born May 12, 1910 in Pownell, PEI, she was the daughter of the late George and Ada Mae (Campbell) Burden. She was a member of Trinity United Church and a former member of the Moncton Curling Assoc. (M.C.A.). In earlier years, she enjoyed cross country skiing, tennis, fishing and gardening. She is survived by two sons, Harold "Hap" Mabey (Lina) of Riverview and Roger Mabey of St. John's, Nfld.; sister, Louie of Montague, PEI; brother, Bill Burden (Joan) of Charlottetown, PEI; eight grandchildren; 18 great grand- children; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold L. Mabey on September 29, 1994; brother, Jim Burden; and a sister, Margaret. Visitation for Gladys will be on Friday, July 30, 2004 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service, which will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Gladys made to the I.W.K. Children's Hospital, Lakeview Manor or memorial of donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
