Marilyn Rose (Burns) Trueman 1940 - 2004 RIVERSIDE-ALBERT, NB - Marilyn Rose (Burns) Trueman, 63, of Riverside-Albert passed away suddenly on Friday, August 13, 2004. She was born in Alma on November 20,1940, the daughter of Leo and Winnifred (Dixon) Burns. She was a graduate of the Alma High School in 1957. Marilyn worked as a Purchasing Clerk for CFB Moncton before retiring. She was a member of the Bo Diddley's Lounge Social Club where she enjoyed playing cards and many other activities. Affectionately known to her family as "Dear Abby" Marilyn was always willing to give advice when asked. She cherished times spent with her husband, George, and her family. She especially treasured the times spent with George going to and having yard sales. She had a great sense of humour and was a special lady who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Leo and Winnie Burns of Alma; her two daughters, Anne-Marie Weston (Jeff) of Waterside, Susan Rossiter of Riverside-Albert; one son, John Rossiter of Moncton; her four step-children, Carla and Todd, both of Moncton, Mike (Caroline) of Sussex and Larry (Maureen) of Calgary; sister, Jeanne MacBeath (Mike) of Dartmouth; brothers, Arnold Burns (Pat) and Danny Burns (Rose) both of Moncton; her eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; and by her mother-in-law, Stella Trueman of Riverview. She was predeceased by her loving husband, George Harry Trueman in 2003; and by a nephew, Bill Burns. Honouring Marilyn's own wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held in her memory at the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 2pm with Rev. David Keith Officiating. The family will be meeting relatives and friends following the service for further sharing of memories and refreshments at the funeral home. Donations to the Friends Of The Moncton Hospital or to the RiversideAlbert Ambulance Division would be greatly appreciated by the family.
