Ronald "Ron" D. Browne
Ronald "Ron" D. Browne 1934 - 2004 Ron Browne, 70, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, September 4, 2004. Born in Montreal, PQ. he was the son of the late Joseph and Edith (White) Browne. Ron had worked in management with Ahlstrom Canada before his retirement. He attended St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church and was a adherent of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Pointe du Chene where he was sacrosanct of the church for five years. He was an avid walker, he loved to read and he had a passion for politics. He was a 4th degree member of the Monseigneur Roy M. MacDonald Knights of Columbus St. Augustines Council # 7940. He was a former member and Past King Lion of the Shediac Lions Club 41N1. He is survived by loving wife of 10 years, the former Genevieve Marangoni-Leger Browne; his children, Patrick Browne and his wife, Marcia of Moncton, Danny Browne and his wife, Sandra of Newmarket, ON., Colleen Browne of Newmarket, ON., Kelly Leger and her husband, Robert of Shediac, Terry Browne and his wife, Patsy of Markham, ON., and Tim Browne and his wife, Cheryl of Stittsville, ON.; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Erika, Dominic, Ireland, Michael, Shannon and Brendan; his twin brother, Howard Browne and his wife, Irene of Edmonton, AB; and by several nieces, nephews, step-children, step-grand and great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his 1st wife, the former Maureen (Layden) Browne and by two brothers, Norman and Melvin. Visitation will be at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home 171 Lutz Street, Moncton on Monday, September 6, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in Pointe du Chene from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in Pointe du Chene on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at 11:00 am. The interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Shediac, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations forwards Masses, the Moncton Right to Life or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
