John (Jack) Samms SHEDIAC, NB - The death of John (Jack) Samms, husband of the late Réjeanne (Léger), occurred Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at his residence in Shediac at the age of 75. Born in Cape Anguille, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Elie Samms and Edith (Alley). Prior to residing in the Shediac area and working at the Paturel packing plant, he lived in Toronto and was employed by Anaconda Brass Ltd. for more than 25 years. Jack is survived by sisters, Sadie (Young) of Montreal and Mary (Drummond) and her husband, Alliack of Kingston, Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Bill, Ned, Jim, Howard, Ron and Vince; and by his sisters, Margaret, Regina, Nora and Georgina. A memorial service will be held at l'Église St-Henri de Grand-Barachois today, Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 7:00 PM.
