Hilda Nelson
Hilda Nelson 1921 - 2004 Hilda Nelson, 82, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton on Monday, September 20, 2004. Born in London, England, daughter of the late Henry and Annie (Kiebler) Rose. Hilda came to Canada as a war bride in 1946, and settled in Campbellton with her husband and children. She was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Moncton Legion # 6, a former volunteer with the Moncton Red Cross, Blood Donor Clinic and a former volunteer visitor of the Veterans at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Hilda will be sadly missed by her children, Barbara, Pointe du Chene, Barrie (Bev), Japan, Linda (Doug), Oromocto; grandchildren, Christopher, Toronto, Kelly (Ignacio), Santiago, Chile, Rozjanne, Ottawa, Darren, Ottawa, Sasha, Halifax; brother, Maurice Rose (Gwen), Great Britain and many other relatives in England and Canada. Predeceased by her husband Stewart W. Nelson (1957). Hilda will be sadly missed and remembered as a woman of great strength, kindness and love, with a wonderful sense of British humor. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, Thursday, September 23, 2004, 7 to 9pm. In keeping with Hilda's wishes there will be no funeral service.
