(1934 2008) — Passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2008, at the Health Sciences Complex surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late William and Jessie (nee Ross) Woodford of St. John's and pre-deceased by brothers Alexander and Gordon. He was a devoted husband of nearly 45 years to Carmel (nee North) and loving father to Donnalee Woodford Copetti (Al), Toronto, and Michael, Ann Arbor, MI. Don was a proud "Poppy" to Alpedio Joseph (AJ) Copetti. He will be deeply missed by sister Irene McDonald and sister-in-law Angela (nee Pretty) as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was a longtime employee of Canada Post. Don gave of himself generously to various voluntary organizations. Friends and relatives are invited to visitation hours at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Saturday 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Teresa's, Mundy Pond Road, on Monday, August 11th, at 11 a.m. The rite of committal to follow at Holy Sepulchre. Donations in Don's memory can be made to the Scouts Canada in Memoriam Fund, the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the charity of one's choice.
