Edna Irene Spence 1919 - 2004 LITTLE RIVER, NB - Edna Irene Spence, of Little River, NB, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at the age of 85. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late Watson and Ethel (Wilson) Wilson. She was retired from the T. Eaton Co. in Toronto after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Hillsborough First Baptist Church and was also a member of the Hillsborough Seniors Group. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by three daughters, Carol Read (Loyall) of Little River, Elizabeth "Libby" Stannard (Tom) of Hillsborough and Sharon Wortman of Dawson Settlement; two sons, Mike Steeves (Doreen) of Weldon and Eric Steeves (Phyllis) of Salem Road, NB; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her first husband Claude Steeves; her second husband Harold Walter Spence in 1994; a son Darrell Steeves in 1973; seven sisters and four brothers. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview on Friday, September 24, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at 9:00 am with Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
