Sharon A. Brantnall 1948 - 2004 HILLSBOROUGH, NB - Sharon Audrey Brantnall, 56, of Hillsborough, NB, passed away on September 26, 2004 at The Moncton City Hospital. Sharon was born in Hopewell Cape on June 3, 1948, the daughter of the late Vernon "Chick" Fownes and Esther (Fletcher) Fownes. Sharon was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church and belonged to the Women's Missionary Society. She worked as a cashier at Zellers before her retirement. She enjoyed helping her husband, Gary doing the mail route for Hillsborough and the surrounding areas. She was very crafty and loved to quilt, knit, crochet and do ceramics. Above all things Sharon loved spending time with her family and her grandsons were her pride and joy. She also was looking forward to having her first granddaughter who is expected soon. She loved life and always had a smile for everyone. She had a great sense of humour and was a special lady who will be missed by all who knew her. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by her mother, Esther Fownes of Salem; her loving husband, Gary Brantnall of Hillsborough; daughter, Stacy Gallant (Wayne) of Fredericton, NB; son, Rick Brantnall (Bridgette) of Dieppe; two brothers, Brian Fownes (Heather) of Edgett's Landing, NB and Kevin Fownes (Christine) of Calgary, AB; and by her precious grandsons, Chandler, Cameron and Noah. She will also be sadly missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Vernon "Chick" Fownes in 1989. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Monday, September 27, 2004 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 2:30pm with Pastor Sonny Osborne Officiating. Interment will be in the Shenstone Cemetery, Shenstone, NB. Donations to the Arthritis Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
