Laura Gallant 1925 - 2004 SHEDIAC, NB - Laura Gallant, 78, wife of the late André Gallant, of Bellview Street, Shediac, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born December 12, 1925 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Alphée Cormier and the late Marie-Anne Gautreau. Laura is survived by five daughters, Eveline Gallant (Gérard Gaudet) of Grande-Digue, NB, Muriel Gallant (Russell Cormier), Yvonne Gallant (Jean-Paul Ward) both of Shediac, NB, Anne Gallant of Grand-Barachois, NB, and Pauline Gallant of Moncton, NB; seven sons, Ronald (Virginia) of Pointedu-Chne, NB, Roy (Gisèle) of GrandeDigue, NB, Normand (Karen), Gerry (Charline), Hubert (Brenda), Paul and Jean, all of Shediac, NB; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, André (1994), she was also predeceased by a son, Daniel (1995); 6 sisters, Juliette Vautour, Anna McPhee, Géraldine Bourque, Yvonne Gallant, Léa Cormier, and Florence Gallant; four brothers, Edouard, Willie, Alfred, and Henri. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:55).
