Ross J. Steeves SHIPPAGAN, NB - Ross J. Steeves, 75, of Shippagan, NB, and formally of New Scotland, NB, passed away at Centre Hospital Enfant Jesus, Caraquet, NB, on Saturday, October 9, 2004. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Noble and Bertha (Horsman) Steeves. Ross was a retired woodsman and school bus driver. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, walking and enjoying nature. Ross will be sadly missed by his daughters, Dale Fitzsimmons of St. Paul, NB, and Karen Elizabeth Steeves of New Scotland, NB; son, David (Carol) of Riceville, NB; grandchildren, Patricia Steeves (Rene), Justin Steeves (Monique), Carol Fitzsimmons (Charlotte), Susan Williams (Danny); great grandchildren, Anthony, Benjamin, AnnaLee, Darien, and Kayla; sisters, Hilda Jones (Vaughn) of Indian Mountain, NB, Shirley McKinnon (Harold) of Saint John, NB; brothers, Evans (Ruby), Douglas (Violet), and Hedley of Indian Mountain, NB, Ronnie (Rena), Billy (Yvonne), John (Pelma), Earl (Geraldine) of Moncton, and David (BettyLou) of Irishtown, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Ruth (Hebert) Steeves in May 1997; a daughter, Eleanor; sons, Anthony and Cleveland; and brothers, Claude and Francis. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (858-1995), on Monday, October 11, 2004 from 7 to 9pm. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at 1:30pm. with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Interment in Lone Pine Cemetery, Canaan Station, NB.
