Phyllis E. Butler 1919 - 2004 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Phyllis Eva Butler, widow of the late Raymond Butler, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Water Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, October 21, 2004, at the age of 85. Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva (MacLean) Heckbert. She was a homemaker and a former employee of J. Robert Martin in the former Town of Chatham. She was a member of St. Michaels Parish and attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. She is survived by one daughter, Maureen Brown (Jack), of Bathurst; one son, Donald Butler (Penny), of Miramichi; one daughter-in-law, Margaret Butler; two brothers, H.M. (Mac) Heckbert (Dorothy), of Saint John and Fred Heckbert (Verna), of Miramichi; one sister-inlaw, Allison Heckbert, of Bathurst; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 1977; one son, David Butler; two daughters, Anne Butler and Marie Anne Butler; one grandson, David Butler Jr.; one sister, Catherine Smith; one brother, Sydney Heckbert. Visiting will be from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Friday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Saturday, October 23, 2004, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon at 3 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
