Gerard (T) Marcel Caissie ROGERSVILLE, NB - Mr. Gerard (T) Marcel Caissie, of Rogersville, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 26, 2003 at the age of 93. Born in Rogersville, Gerard was the son of the late Thaddee and Eugenie (Chevarie) Caissie. Gerard married Melece (Goguen) on August 15, 1939 and was married for 59 years. Gerard worked in the woods and retired from Burchills Mill where he was employed as a stationary engineer. He attended St. Francois de Sale Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville and was a member of the Charismatic group. Gerard was very involved in church ministries and parish activities. Gerard is survived by four daughters Geraldine Landry (Antoine) of Shediac, Stella Caissie Gallant of Rogersville, Antoinette Bourque (Vital) of Moncton, Claudette Thebeau (Normand) of Rogersville; ten sons, Eugene (Florine), Emile (Anne-Marie), Lionel (Jeanne d' Arc), Laurent (Rosalie), Leandre (Claudette), Yvon (Fernande), Guy (Raymonde), all of Rogersville, Jean (Rachel) of Drummond, Patrice (Diane) of Riverview, France (Carol) of RosairevilIe; one sister, Eveline Cormier of RogersvilIe; one brother, Antoine of Rogersville; 43 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Melece (Goguen) Caissie, Gerard was predeceased by one sister Olive; three brothers, Joseph, Olivier and Onezime. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Francois de Sale Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 from 7 to 9 and on Thursday, October 28, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 29, 2004 at 11 am from St. Francois de Sale Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville with Father Savio Mazerolle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Francois de Sale Roman Catholic Church.
