Gordon E. Arsenault
Gordon E. Arsenault 1916 - 2004 Gordon E. Arsenault, age 88, of Dominion Street, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2004, at The Moncton City Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, September 20, 1916, he was the son of the late Christopher Arsenault and Maude (Bishop) Arsenault. Gordon was a retired electrician and electrical contractor, he was also the owner of Central Electrical Services. Gordon enjoyed swimming, and fishing. He also played softball with the city league for Athen's Grill and Bend View Aces, winning both City titles, as a pitcher and outfielder. Gordon attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Obeline (Cormier) Arsenault; five daughters, Joanne, Florence MacFarlane (Pointe du Chene), Roberta, Gloria Goulding and Claire; four sons, Paul (Louise), Gordie (Palma), Earl, Victor (Gisele); 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Gordon was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents; he was also predeceased by two sisters, Freda Bourgeois, Estella Hart and one brother, Albert. There will be no visitation at the funeral home as requested by the family. Funeral service will be held at St - Augustine's Roman Catholic Church (corner of Dominion and Mountain Road) on Friday, November 12, 2004 at 2 pm, followed by a reception at the church hall.
