Mr. Robert G. Stymiest 1938 - 2004 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Robert George Stymiest, husband of Catherine (Kay) Stymiest, of Heritage Acres, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at the age of 66. Born in Chatham, he was the son of the late Byron and Minnie (Archibald) Stymiest. He was a retired member of the Dept. of National Defense and was a Peacekeeper in many areas of the world, including Bosnia, Cyprus, Nigeria and Germany. He attended the Holy Trinity Congregational Church, Miramichi. He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine (Kay) Wallace; two daughters, Brenda Stymiest and her husband, Hedi M'Bazaa, of Moncton and Cheryl Dickson and her husband, Rodney, of Napan; six step-daughters, Betty Manuel, Judy Kennison, Cathy Glidden, Dixie Hachey (Paul), all of Miramichi, Vicky Reid, of Moncton, Sharon Quann, of Summerside, P.E.I.; three step-sons, Teddy Quann (Anne), Charles (Bo) Quann (Susan), and Pat Quann, all of Miramichi; two sisters, Joan Shanning (Clay), of Kelowna, B.C. and Phyllis Sampert (Harold), of Spirit River, Alberta; one brother, William Stymiest (Claudette), of Shediac; 27 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. By request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A public funeral service will be held from the Holy Trinity Congregational Church, Miramichi, on Monday, November 15, 2004, at 2 pm, conducted by Pastor Willard Watling. Please note, members of Branch # 3, Royal Canadian Legion are asked to assemble at the church on Monday at 1:30 pm, to provide a Veterans Service during the funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
