Murray J. Burns SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Murray J. Burns, age 96, of Sackville, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Thursday, November 11, 2004. Born in Bayfield, NB, he was a son of the late Chesley and Minnie (Johnson) Burns. A retired school teacher in the Sackville area for 37 years, he was a member of the Sackville United Church, a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge #28 F & AM, the Sackville Art Association and was a well known local artist. Murray was a former CO with the Sackville Air Cadet Squadron. Murray will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Jean Russell, Sackville; a son, Gordon (Irena), Calgary, AB; a daughter, Barbara (Philip) Copp, Lower Coverdale, NB; a grandson, Kevin, Calgary, AB. He was predeceased by three sisters, Jean, Nellie and Lottie. The remains have been forwarded for cremation. There will no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Sackville United Church on Sunday, November 14, 2004 at 2 pm, Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery.
