Jacob Drisdelle 1914 - 2004 SHEDIAC, NB - Jacob Drisdelle, 90, of the Villa Providence, Shediac, and formerly of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at the Villa Providence. Born August 14, 1914 in HauteAboujagane, he was the son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (LeBlanc) Drisdelle. Prior to his retirement, he was the founder and manager of la Caisse Populaire de Haute-Aboujagane and la Coopérative de Haute-Aboujagane. He served as secretary of the Barachois Regional School Council, District #13 from 1952 to 1969, and was past president of the former Handicapped Association in Shediac. He was a past member with la Fédération des Caisses Populaires Acadienne du N.-B. and the Golden Age Club in Barachois and Dieppe. Jacob will be sadly missed by loving family, wife, Rita (Léger) Drisdelle of Dieppe; three sons, Jacques (Shirley) of BC, Michel and René both of Moncton; three daughters, Rachelle Drisdelle (Avit Vienneau) of Grand-Barachois, Albertina Léger (Philippe) of Nackawic, and Ginette Ouellet (Yvon) of HauteAboujagane; a step-son, Paul Léger of Moncton; a step-daughter, Claudia Léger of Moncton; one brother, Julien of Moncton; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife, Adrienne (LeBlanc) Drisdelle in 1966; a daughter, Roseline; a son, Roger; four sisters, Eva Bourque, Léa LeBlanc, Béatrice Richard, Célestina Hébert; and four brothers, Ernest, Tim, David and Léandre. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main Street, Shediac (5323297) with visitation on Tuesday 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday 9:30 a.m. until time of departure. The Funeral Mass will be held at Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church in Haute-Aboujagane on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 11a.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
