McCARTHY, Angela — Of Carbonear, who passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. Mrs. McCarthy was 68 years old. She leaves to mourn her loving family: husband Fred McCarthy; children: Brenda (George) Mitchell; Tony McCarthy; Jacquie (Paul) Dawe; grandchildren: Jessica Dawe; Stacey Dawe; Leslie Dawe; Peyton Kostrya-McCarthy; brother: Ambrose Slade; brothers-in-law: William Butt and William (Irene) McCarthy; sisters-in-law: Drucilla McCarthy and Agnes Neville; and a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents: Samuel and Veronica Slade; brothers: Thomas (Enid) Slade; David (Maude) Slade; James (Doris) Slade; sisters: Mary (Patrick) Evans; Josephine (David) Drover; Margaret (David) Crawford; Helen Butt; brothers-in-law: Patrick (Matilda) McCarthy; Thomas (Stella) McCarthy and a large number of other relatives and friends. The funeral mass will take place at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church and Cemetery, Carbonear, on Monday, March 2, 2009, 10:30 a.m. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear, between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and noon, 2-5 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. daily.
