James Edward (Ted) Barker PLATTSVILLE, ON - James Edward (Ted) Barker passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener. Ted Barker of Plattsville and formerly of Moncton, N.B. in his 66th year. Ted was born and raised in Oakville, a son of Anne Barker of Hamilton and the late Howard Barker. Beloved husband of Peggy Lerette of Plattsville; dear father of Coline and Rob Trinetti of Dover Center, James Barker and Nancy Ford of Ottawa, Charline Barker and Dave Pickett of Hamilton, Heather Bovard and Mark Ellsworth of Innisfil, Sherry and James Wagner of Plattsville, Brian Lerette and Sylvia Janzen of Edmonton and Rhonda Gould and Steve Van Dyke of Guelph. Loved and sadly missed by his nine grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother, Gordon Barker and sister, Sandra Carr. Ted worked for the City of Moncton for 27 years, was involved with minor baseball and was very active in fundraising for the Dave Wood Memorial Fund. Relatives and Friends may call the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St., Plattsville on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 from 12 noon until the time of the Service at 3:00pm. Interment later in Oakville Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation or the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto would be appreciated by the family.
