Ronald "Ronnie" Arthur Dykeman of Lower Saturday

Ronald A. Dykeman LOWER JEMSEG, NB - The death of Ronald "Ronnie" Arthur Dykeman of Lower Jemseg, NB occurred on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Born on April 4, 1947, he was the son of the late A. Stanley and Freda Dykeman and husband to Brenda Dykeman. The third generation proprietor of Dykeman's General Store and LotaRock farms, Ron enjoyed a full life of serving his community and was a wellknown personality in the Maritimes. Ron was active in many groups, such as, The Canadian Hereford Association, President of the New Brunswick Hereford Association, Past President of the Maritime Hereford Association and the South Eastern Hereford Club, Director of the Queens County Fair, New Brunswick Beef Expo and New Brunswick Livestock Breeders Co-op. Ron was also a member of the St. James Anglican Church. He enjoyed his lifetime with his friends and family from the cattle and horse industries. His family and community will miss him dearly. Ron leaves behind his wife, Brenda (Steeves) Dykeman; sons, Craig (Brenda) of Red Deer, AB and Stacy of Jemseg, NB; daughter, Angie of Jemseg, NB; grandchildren, Courtney, Josh, Janelle, and Kalie Dykeman; his sisters, Dorothy (Dave) Murchison of Saint John, Jeanne (Larry) Cosman of Brampton, ON, and Lois Dykeman of Lower Jemseg, NB, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Shirley Springer. There will be no visitation by Ron's request. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at 11:00 am from St. James Anglican Church in Jemseg, NB. Canon Alvin Westgate will officiate.
