Jean Elizabeth Dwyer, 99, the Mira Nursing Facility, Truro, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 at The Mira where she was a resident for over six years.
Jean is survived by her sisters Viola Timmons and Lillian Blois, both of Truro; brothers Lloyd, Toronto; Ernest (Lena), Bible Hill; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her fathe, A.K Dwyer; mother Margaret (Underwood) Dwyer; sisters Margaret Clattenburg, Hazel Harb and Myrtle MacQuarrie; brothers John and Robert.
Jean lived her entire life of nearly 100 years in her special place, Truro. She was employed at Stanfield\'s Limited for over 50 years. Jean was a beloved friend of many who was kind and complimentary to everyone she met. She always made time to greet everyone, and had an amazing enthusiasm for life. She could often be seen \"up town\" walking and chatting, and dressed to the nines. She was a vibrant lady who epitomized class, elegance and style. Jean\'s joyful spirit and warm smile will be missed. She touched many lives with her sweet personality and kind heart.
A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009 in Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating. No flowers by request.
