Dorothy E. Lafreniere 1912 - 2004 Dorothy Lafreniere, 91, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, December 16, 2004. Born in Edmonton, Alberta in December 1912, she was the daughter of the late Desire and Grace (Ferguson) Danes. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse and was employed at the St. Joseph Hospital, Dalhousie. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lionel, "retired R.C.M.P." Also survived by her children, Maurice Lafreniere of Cornwall, ON, Clarence (Jackie) Lafreniere of Dalhousie, Stella Lafreniere of Moncton, Cecile Lafreniere of Dalhousie, Diane (Claude) Lafreniere of Campbellton, Therese Lafreniere of Dieppe; as well as 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one brother, Louis Danes of Fort Smith, Nunavit. She was predeceased by two brothers, Alphonse Danes, Maurice Danes and a sister, Margaret Danes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Augustine's Church, corner of Mountain Road and Dominion Street, Moncton, on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 2:00pm. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, followed by a reception at the family residence "7 Norwood Avenue, Moncton."
