ST. CATHARINES, ON - After a courageous battle with breast cancer that metastasized to bone cancer, at 69 years of age, our mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and precious angel passed away surrounded by her family with dignity in her own bedroom at home on December 26, 2004. Wife of the late Ted King (1999) and dear, loving, treasured mother of Cindy, Gordon, Debbie, Barbara and Beverly. Most loving and cherished mother-inlaw of Jim Reed, Lisa Rodwin, Pat Mowat, Lesley Fleming, Eric Hobbs and Bill Hollingshead. Precious grandmother of Naomi, Billy, Blayne, Devin, Michaela, Taylor and Connor. She is survived by her sisters, Dolly, Shirley and Elizabeth. Almeta is predeceased by her brothers, Sherwood, Stewart, George; and her sisters, Winona, Muriel and Doris. Very special thanks to Dr. Susan Hartman, Dr. Buchmann, Dr. Warr, Dr. Goldenburg, Dr. Fyles, Glenys Mathews and Angela Sacco. As per her wishes cremation has taken place. A visitation before service will take place from 10 to 11 am on Friday, December 31, 2004. The ceremony for this beloved woman will be celebrated at 11 am in the chapel of HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, 905-684-6346. The family will receive friends at The Quality Inn, 327 Ontario Street, 905688-2324, at 1 pm.
