Viva Elspeth Dixson Viva Elspeth Dixson, 80, of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, January 15, 2005 after a brief illness. Born in Whitney, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Lola (Mullin) Hare. A graduate of Moncton High School (1943), she worked at Blue Cross and the Unemployment Insurance Commission. She was a member of Mount Royal United Church and the special interest unit of the U.C.W. Viva will be sadly missed by her husband of 57 years, Herbert; two sons, Brian of Ottawa and Kevin of Barrie, ON; daughter-in-law, Linda Dixson, Dartmouth, NS; step-grandson, Jonathan Clarke, Halifax, NS; sisters, Elva Whitney, Thunder Bay, ON and Mona Miller (Darrell), Moncton; brother, Gordon Hare (Mae), Whitney; sisters-in-law, Martha Mosher, Laura McLaughlin (Dick), Margaret Dixson, Muriel Frizzell (Harry); brothers-in-law, John Dixson (Marie), Henry Hume and Les Stokes; as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son, Eric (2002) and sisters, Valerie Hume, Glenna Golden and Betty Stokes. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A memorial service will be held at Mount Royal United Church, 106 Mount Royal Blvd., Moncton, Wednesday, January 19, 2005, 2pm, Rev. Hugh Farquhar officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton.
