Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, February 26, 2009, of Mrs. Mary M. Shreenan (nee Doyle) of Geneva Villa and formerly of Bedford in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Alphonous “Ollie” Shreenan and dear mother of John (Blanche), Havelock, Ont.; Maureen Gole, Kitchener, Ont.; Raymond (Heather), Alliston, Ont.; Ivan (Mary), Blooming Pt., P.E.I.; Brenda McQuaid, Etobicoke, Ont., and Frank (Cathy), Sherwood. Also survived by 11 loving grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Beatrice Doyle. Predeceased by her parents, James and Jeminia (nee Collins) Doyle; brothers, Louis and Francis Doyle; son, Leo; stepson, Gerard and son-in-law, Paul Gole. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10 Monday morning, then transferred to St. Bonaventure Church, Tracadie Cross, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
