Born in Tracadie-Sheila on September 11, 1936 she was a daughter of the late George Holmes and Alphonsina Lebreton. Marie was a registered nurse. Marie is survived by her husband, Andrew Valdron; mother, Alphonsina Holmes, Saint John, NB; daughter, Kyla Valdron Clark, NFLD; sons, John Valdron, Dalhousie, Dennis Valdron, Manitoba; sisters, Alice Meunier, Saint.John, NB, Gemma Hajerty, Saint John, NB; brother, John Holmes, Hampton, NB; two grandchildren, Jared Valdron and Shannon Clark. The Funeral was held at St. John Bosco Church on January 27, 2005 at 11 am, officiated by Rev. Culligan. Interment in St. John Bosco Cemetery.
