Mrs. Vera D. MacDonald 1930 - 2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Vera Doreen MacDonald, wife of Joseph A. Ray MacDonald, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of the Bay du Vin River Road, Bay du Vin, passed away at her residence, on Thursday, January 27, 2005, at the age of 74. Born in Bay du Vin, she was the daughter of the late Ernest G. and Edith A. (Dutcher) Williston. She was a homemaker; a member of St. Michaels By The Sea Catholic Church, Bayside; a retired employee of the Dept. of National Defense, employed at CFB Gagetown. She is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Ray MacDonald; three daughters, Maralyn Donelle (Bob) of Waasis, N.B., Cynthia Kingston (Clarke) of Black River Bridge and Sylvia Wong (Ken) of Surrey, B.C.; three sons, Claude MacDonald (Ruth) of Riverview, Darrell MacDonald (Brenda) of Aldergale, B.C. and Raymond MacDonald (Barbara) of North Vancouver, B.C.; one sister, Mary Kingston (Bennie) of Bay du Vin; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by two sons-in-law, Joseph Kingston and Robert Donelle; three brothers, Albert, Claude and Arden Williston. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Sunday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Michaels By The Sea Catholic Church, Bayside on Monday, January 31, 2005, at 11 am. Conducted by Father Claude Daigle. Interment will be in the church cemetery, later in the spring. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, at 3 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
