Alida Gallant 1911 - 2005 Alide Gallant wife of Albert Gallant of Résidence Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur, Dieppe and formerly of NotreDame de Kent. Passed away at the Résidence Notre-Dame du Sacré, Dieppe on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 after a brief illness at the age of 93. Born in Bouctouche, NB on October 3, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Willie McCaie and Madeleine LeBlanc. She was employed with the housekeeping Dept at the Dr. George-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton for approximately 24 years. She attended NotreDame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Notre-Dame de Kent. Alida Gallant is survived by her husband Albert Gallant of the Résidence Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur, Dieppe; five daughters, Hélène Babineau (Laurie) of Notre-Dame de Kent, St. Rosanna LeBlanc n.d.s.c. Bouctouche, Bertha Redmond (Adon), Edna Gillispie (Ian) both of Scarborough, On, Fernande LeBlanc (Yvon) of SainteMarie de Kent; three sons, Raymond LeBlanc (Rita) of Notre-Dame de Kent, Adelard LeBlanc (Yvette) of Cocagne, Alyre LeBalnc (Régina) of Notre-Dame de Kent; two half-sisters, Rita McCaie, Jeannette McCaie both of Moncton; 27 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; several step-children; and nephews & nieces. Mrs. Gallant is predeceased by her first husband, Sylvain LeBlanc (1962); second husband, Léo Arsenault (1989); four sons, Alphé, Léo, Gerard, Henri; two brothers, Edgar, Pierre; two sisters, Marceline and Marie. Resting at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Notre-Dame de Kent with visiting hours Thursday, February 10, 2005 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and Friday, from 2 to 3:45pm. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Notre-Dame de Kent on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 4:00pm. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
